Journal of Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology
The Journal of Applied Sport & Exercise Psychology (formerly Zeitschrift für Sportpsychologie) is the organ of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sportpsychologie in Deutschland e.V. and also an organ of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (DGPs). It provides information on sport psychology research, experiences in sport psychology practice, and the implementation and use of sport psychology findings and procedures in competitive, school, health, and recreational sport. The journal is therefore aimed at both researchers and practitioners: Coaches at all levels, teachers, therapists, supervisors, organisers, officials and other interested parties.
The journal is listed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Social Sciences Research, Journal Citation Reports/Social Sciences Edition, PsyJOURNALS, SPORTdiscus, Heracles and SpoLit. "Impact factor: 0.4 (Journal of Sport Psychology, Clarivate Analytics, 2024)".

Editorship:
In January 2023, some of the editorial colleagues for the Zeitschrift für Sportpsychologie were reappointed on a rotational basis.
To this end, a selection committee consisting of Prof. Dr. Jana Strahler [as chairwoman for the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Sportpsychologie (asp)] and Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Renner [for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (DGP)] as well as Prof. Dr. Chris Englert, Jun. Prof. Dr. Stefanie Klatt, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Weidig (all co-editors of ZfS), PD Dr. Felix Ehrlenspiel (outgoing managing editor of ZfS), Prof. Dr. Mirko Wegner (outgoing co-editor of ZfS) and Prof. Dr. Ines Pfeffer (outgoing co-editor of ZfS) appointed a new managing editor and two new co-editors.
Prof. Dr. Daniel Memmert (DSHS Cologne) was appointed as the new managing editor. Assistant Professor Svenja Anna Wolf (Florida State University) and Dr. Geoffrey Schweizer (Heidelberg University) have been appointed as co-editors. We would like to thank our colleagues who are leaving the editorial board of the ZfS for their good work over the past years!
