School sports & Teaching
Universities train prospective sports teachers and sports psychology is a central training component at most universities. Sports psychology topics such as motivation, self-concept, injuries, stress, health, etc. play an important role in physical education and extracurricular sports at schools. Their central importance in the training of prospective teachers and teachers working in schools should be reflected in the work of the asp Presidium in the future and be clearly recognisable at national conferences and/or relevant publications.

Working group in Bochum May 2025
During the 57th asp annual conference in Bochum, a working group was held to serve as an introduction to more intensive discussion and stronger cooperation so that the topic of "sports psychology and mental health at elite schools" - but also at mainstream schools - becomes more of a focus for those responsible.
