Training "asp-Curriculum "Sports psychological coaching and training in competitive sports"

The asp, the Federal Institute for Sports Science (BISp) and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) have been working together continuously since 2002 to ensure the quality assurance of the sports psychological advice and support measures in top-class sport. A central building block for quality assurance is the postgraduate training "asp curriculum "Sports Psychological Coaching and Training in Competitive Sports".

In October 2018, the asp curriculum started in a new, revised form. Since then, ongoing modifications and improvements of the course content and structure have been made in coordination with the asp practical service advisory board and based on participant feedback. Furthermore, graduates of the curriculum can apply for a "Sports Psychology Expert (asp)" certificate from the German Association of Sport Psychology (asp) and then use this to apply to the Federal Institute for Sports Science for inclusion in its expert database.

The entry requirement for admission to the asp curriculum is proof of a master's degree in psychology or sports science - or an accredited academic master's degree in a relevant subject.
